CHANDLER, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Mesa man has been arrested in connection with a string of vending machine burglaries in Chandler.
Chandler police say 32-year-old Christopher Jon Ash was identified as a suspect in the case through photographs and surveillance video.
He’s being held on suspicion of six counts of third-degree burglary, four counts of possession of burglary tools and one count of theft control of stolen property.
Ash is accused of stealing money from a soda vending machine at a Chandler apartment clubhouse on Jan. 26.
Police say Ash fled the scene by the time officers arrived, but was arrested later at a traffic stop.
They say Ash has been charged with two additional burglaries in Chandler this month and three last August.
It’s unclear if Ash has a lawyer yet.
