RAYMOND, Miss. (AP) - Officials in Hinds County say an inmate set fire to a mattress at the county jail Thursday morning, but no injuries were reported.
WAPT-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1fyTxly ) the Raymond and Terry fire departments were called to the jail around 9 a.m., but a Hinds County Sheriff’s Office spokesman says guards were able to put out the fire themselves.
Authorities say an inmate with mental troubles started the fire.
