Omni Hotels & Resorts is a privately held, international luxury hotel company based in Dallas, Texas. The company is currently owned by private equity investor Robert Rowling of TRT Holdings, who bought the company in February 1996 from World International Holdings, Ltd. and the Hong Kong-based conglomerate, The Wharf (Holdings) Limited. The company currently operates 43 properties in the United States, Canada, and Mexico totaling over 14,500 rooms and employing more than 15,000 people.Of the properties only three are franchised (Cancun, Puerto Aventuras, and Philadelphia), with the remaining hotels being managed or owned by Omni Corporate.
