‘The Overnighters’ shines light on flawed pastor, fearful community

By Eric Althoff - The Washington Times

This photo from a film provided by Drafthouse Films shows Pastor Jay Reinke addressing the Overnighters from his church pulpit in a scene from the documentary "The Overnighters" that was filmed in North Dakota. The documentary looks at the gritty side of life in North Dakota's booming oil patch. It follows a Williston pastor who opened his church and later his home to migrant workers arriving to the boomtown down and out. The move sparked controversy when people in the growing town found out sex offenders were living in the church. It’s scheduled to be released in October. (AP Photo/Courtesy of Drafthouse Films)
