MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A former Mobile County Commissioner has been found guilty of trying to entice a child for sex over the Internet.
Freeman Jockish was found guilty Thursday afternoon and is scheduled to be sentenced July 15. The 70-year-old was arrested in late November and charged with traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and the electronic solicitation of a child.
Prosecutors have said Jockish answered a Craigslist advertisement and began online conversations with an undercover FBI agent posing as a 15-year-old girl.
Investigators have said Jockish was one of six people arrested in the online child sex sting.
