Emily Owens, M.D. (formerly First Cut) is an upcoming American medical drama television series created by Jennie Snyder Urman. It was picked up by The CW on May 11, 2012, and is scheduled to premiere this fall. The series follows the life of Emily Owens (Mamie Gummer), who is a first-year intern at Denver Memorial Hospital and has to realize that with her med-school crush Will Rider (Justin Hartley) and her high school nemesis Cassandra Kopelson (Aja Naomi King) she isn't only the new kid all over again, but it’s just as awkward as high school. - Source: Wikipedia
