Juveniles dominated the District’s crime blotter this week: Police arrested a girl on robbery charges, several teens after a month-long burglary spree and three minors are being sought following a shooting.

What’s more, two 17-year-olds were gunned down on opposite sides of town.

Metropolitan Police said Wednesday they arrested a 14-year-old girl after she was accused of joining in a group of youths who surrounded and attacked a woman in Northwest.

Investigators said the juveniles robbed the woman around 9 p.m. Tuesday near the corner of Eighth and Q streets NW.

Another woman came to the first victim’s aid, and she was assaulted by the suspects, police said. The juveniles ran away after the robbery.

On Tuesday, four teens — three 14-year-olds and one 13-year-old, all from Southeast — were tied to a spate of burglaries in occupied and unoccupied homes between Sept. 5 and Oct. 2.

Authorities said the suspects targeted residences in Northeast and ransacked the houses for goods and car keys. The burglary crew stole four vehicles in the heists, all of which police were able to recover.

The police department said the suspects were armed with guns when they broke into occupied houses. A 14-year-old suspect sexually assaulted a resident during one of the home invasions, investigators said.

The burglaries took place in spurts. The suspects hit three homes in the Kingman Park area between 5:20 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. on Sept 5, police said.

Investigators said the boys targeted another three Kingman Park homes in rapid succession, breaking into the first house around 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 18 and entering the last home just after midnight on Sept. 19.

Authorities said the final three burglaries on Oct. 2 were more scattered.

The juveniles started by breaking into a Kingman Park home around 5:30 p.m. before traveling almost 4 miles north to Brookland to carry out their next break-in at roughly 8 p.m. The final home was targeted in the Carver/Langston neighborhood, right next to Kingman Park, around 10:50 p.m.

On Monday, police issued a lookout for three juvenile males who are tied to a shooting near North Capitol Street.

Police said the boys opened fire on a man after an argument around 5 p.m. in the 1100 block of First Street NE. The man suffered graze wounds.

The police department shared a still frame from a surveillance camera showing two of the boys’ faces. They appear to be Black, one has a light complexion and the other a medium complexion. Both wearing dark clothing.

Meanwhile, deadly violence claimed the lives of two teenagers.

Police said a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed Tuesday morning in the 2700 block of Minnesota Avenue SE.

Officers responded to the shooting around 11:35 a.m. and found the boy lying unconscious and not breathing in the area. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities identified the boy as Joshua Carter of Southeast and did not provide information about suspects.

Over the weekend, a 17-year-old girl was gunned down in Petworth.

Metropolitan Police said the shooting was reported shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday in the 3700 block of New Hampshire Avenue NW.

Officers found a man and the girl suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene. Both were taken to a hospital, where the girl died.

Officials identified the girl as Daniyah Ford of Hyattsville.
