Anthropic shared a preview Wednesday of its new artificial intelligence agent, Claude Duet, which is geared toward professionals and small-business owners.
The company said its AI-powered virtual assistant can help users schedule meetings, send daily briefs and create financial or sales forecasts.
“It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working even when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf,” Anthropic said in a blog post Wednesday.

U.S.-based Claude subscribers who are interested in Duet must join a waitlist to access the product.
Duet is expected to challenge similar offerings from Meta and OpenAI.
OpenAI’s agent can tackle personal and professional tasks, while Meta’s Muse is designed to handle everyday errands for its users.
The public appears to be catching on: Muse was one of Apple’s most downloaded apps last month when it launched.
