Atlanta United FC is a Major League Soccer (MLS) expansion franchise based in Atlanta, Georgia. The club will begin play in 2017, and will be a member of the Eastern Conference. The club, which was announced by the league on April 16, 2014, will be owned and operated by Home Depot co-founder and Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank. The team will play at Bobby Dodd Stadium, and later move to Mercedes-Benz Stadium which is currently under construction, and expected to be completed in late 2017. - Source: Wikipedia
