‘Christians in the Mirror’ a sober, somber reminder of how good Americans have it

In America, religious persecution against Christianity means fighting the ACLU for the right to read a Bible in school. Dear Donald Trump, please read — a surprise medical billing that needs rapid fixing

Texas smart: State letting guns into churches, schools

New laws are about to take effect in Texas that will open doors for firearms' owners to carry their weapons into school, into churches, into places that have been traditionally gun-free and gun-restricted zones. Texas is the banner state to watch on this. If only more legislatures and governors would follow suit.

American freedom sometimes means — little pink houses

‘Red flag’ laws bring loads of problems

President Donald Trump, along with several notables in the Republican Party -- including Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas -- have floated so-called "red flag" laws as a means of stopping mass shootings in the United States, saying that if we can keep the mentally ill from buying and owning firearms, well then, that should curb much of the violence. On the surface, this sounds like common sense. But caveat: Who decides who's mentally unfit?
