Former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has filed for divorce from her husband, Bryon Noem, months after reports of his cross-dressing and bimbo fetish came to light.
The legal split, filed in Hamlin County Court in South Dakota and made public Monday, arrives months after the Daily Mail reported on Mr. Noem’s online activities in a fetish community known as “bimbofication,” which involved wearing fake breasts and chatting with adult online performers.
“Ms. Noem is devastated. The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers,” her representatives told The New York Post at the time of the report.

The divorce was reportedly filed on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences.”
“Kristi Noem has filed for the dissolution of her marriage to Bryon Noem,” her counsel Michael K. Sabers said in a statement. “She has great faith in the South Dakota judicial system and will reserve any further comments for the legal process.
The couple had been married since 1992 and had three children together.
By July, Mr. Noem had left the couple’s home and was living about 20 miles away, the Daily Mail reported.
Ms. Noem’s mother, Corinne Arnold, told the outlet her daughter had told her that she was ending the marriage and had hired a lawyer.
“It has been difficult, but we knew this was coming, that they were going to get divorced,” Ms. Arnold said at the time. “I feel bad, sick that they’re getting a divorce, but what else can you do?”
Ms. Noem, former governor of South Dakota, was previously accused of having an affair with her longtime adviser Corey Lewandowski, but the two have repeatedly denied the allegation.
They allegedly had a close working dynamic during her tenure at the Department of Homeland Security. During a March House Judiciary Committee hearing, Ms. Noem accused the panel of “peddling tabloid garbage.”
She declined to directly answer or deny under oath whether she had a sexual relationship with Mr. Lewandowski.
President Trump fired Ms. Noem not long after she faced the congressional committee amid bipartisan criticism over her leadership.
She faced two days of intense questioning on Capitol Hill before the firing was announced.
