Don Mancini, the creator of Chucky, the iconic killer doll from the “Child’s Play” franchise, had a loud response to rapper Nicki Minaj’s use of the character’s likeness in a social media post that encouraged Americans to “Vote Red.”
Ms. Minaj posted the image, which featured Chucky in a pink suit, to social media on Tuesday. The rapper came out in the 2026 election season as a supporter of Republicans and President Trump.
“IMPOSTER,” Mr. Mancini replied in all caps to Ms. Minaj’s post. “CHUCKY IS PART OF THE BLUE WAVE THAT WILL WASH AWAY ALL THE CORRUPTION.”
