OPINION:
The Minnesota Department of Education is about to inflict the MyGender Doll on children as young as 4 years old.
This is an anatomically incorrect paper doll with interchangeable body parts, including genitalia. The goal is to convince children that the gender they were “assigned at birth” is merely one of many options, that they can be anything they want to be and biology be damned.
The University of Minnesota Medical School received a $15 million grant from the state to develop the dolls.
Although outgoing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a Democrat, has yet to weigh in, it is not too hard to guess where he will come down. Mr. Walz had tampon dispensers installed in the boys’ rooms of public schools, hence his nickname, “Tampon Tim.”
The paper dolls have gender-neutral names, such as Sam. Besides genitalia, they have over 100 interchangeable accessories, including clothing and hairstyles. It is a Mr. Potato Head for gender indoctrination.
A Minnesota nonprofit called Defending Education has filed a complaint with the U.S. departments of Education and Justice to stop the use of the MyGender Dolls based on the federal Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment, which restricts federal funds from going to schools that compel students “to submit to a survey, analysis or evaluation” on their “sex behavior or attitudes.”
Sexual radicals never give up. They will do or say almost anything to advance the absurdity that gender is fluid and an individual can choose to be a man or a woman, although their choice doesn’t change their DNA.
When she testified at her confirmation hearing, Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson refused to define the word “woman,” saying that she was “not a biologist.” But how could she rule on men’s and women’s sports, as she did recently, if she couldn’t define a woman?
Transgender advocates maintain that it is perfectly safe for biological men to play women’s sports, ignoring the injuries to women from competing against larger and stronger males.
The deans of medical schools have testified before Congress that “most” births are to women, implying that some are to men.
Transgenderism is the new frontier of leftist indoctrination. If you can get someone to say a man can become a woman, you can get them to say anything.
The MyGender Doll belongs safely tucked away in a mad scientist’s lab and not in a grade-school classroom.
