A federal judge has allowed a Mississippi church to conduct drive-in services amid social-distancing restrictions for the coronavirus.

U.S. District Judge Michael P. Mills declined Friday to impose a temporary restraining order against the town of Holly Springs, saying its social-distancing order was “inartfully drafted.”

The judge’s decision followed a Friday telephone hearing in which an attorney for the town conceded that drive-in services at First Pentecostal Church of Holly Springs were allowable under the social-distancing order.

First Pentecostal was allowed to hold drive-in services Sunday.
