PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) - Investigators say a man got upset when he couldn’t use a mobile payment app at a Florida pet store and threatened to stab and shoot employees.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s investigators arrested 34-year-old Jonathan Blaine on Tuesday.
The Tampa Bay Times reports Blaine became irate with employees at Pet Supermarket. He left, but investigators say he called the corporate office and said he would stab or shoot someone if he returned to the store.
He’s charged with making a false report concerning use of a firearm. A lawyer isn’t listed on records.
Sheriff’s officials assisted the U.S. Secret Service in May on an unrelated investigation involving Blaine. Officials say he called the U.S. State Department and mentioned President Donald Trump before making threats toward Congress. He told detectives he was joking.
