WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A Delaware man has pleaded not guilty in a federal child pornography case.
Scott C. Foster of Dover entered the plea at a brief court hearing Thursday.
Foster was initially indicted in 2017 on charges of producing, receiving and possessing child pornography. He is accused of using the alias “Chase Reacher” on Facebook to coerce children in Maryland into making and sending sexually explicit images. He is also accused of sending obscene images via Facebook.
Prosecutors obtained a 17-count superseding indictment last month after Foster rejected a plea offer.
The case has been designated as “complex” because of the size and nature of the evidence. Prosecutors noted in one court filing that there were more than 66,000 pages of documents that needed to be reviewed by a computer forensics expert.
