OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Omaha authorities found a man in critical condition from exposure to the extreme cold.

Omaha Fire Battalion Chief Scott Fitzpatrick said firefighters were called to the south side of Carter Lake at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when temperatures were around -10.

Fitzpatrick said it wasn’t immediately clear how long the man was outside. He was taken to Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition.



The man’s identity wasn’t immediately released.
