KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - A 5-year-old child in Flathead County has died after being struck by a vehicle driven by a family member in northwest Montana.
The Daily Inter Lake reports that the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office says the incident occurred Tuesday afternoon in the Kila community area.
Sheriff Brian Heino says it’s believed the vehicle was coming out of the driveway of a residence when the child was struck.

The child died later Tuesday night at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
The child’s name has not been released.
