SEATTLE (AP) - Officials in Yakima County say they will drop off released prisoners at a state office in Seattle after a video sent to the Seattle mayor showed a corrections officer dropping off people underneath the interstate downtown.

KING-TV reports the head of Yakima County Department of Corrections says part of the reason the prisoners were dropped off there is due to previous complaints from Seattle officials about designated inmate drop-offs.

The video from April 8 prompted Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan to ask the Washington State Department of Corrections why the people were released without any supervision or guidance.

In the video, a corrections officer is seen removing handcuffs from three people who are then seen walking away.

Corrections Director Steve Sinclair wrote Durkan April 12 saying the video also raised concerns among corrections officials.
