ISLAMABAD (AP) - A Pakistani court has ruled to allow Punjab’s provincial government to auction off assets of a former finance minister who’s hiding from the law and has failed to answer repeated court summons.
Ishaq Dar faces charges of concealing financial assets at home and abroad. He has been reportedly staying in London for over a year now.
Dar was finance minister under former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was disqualified by the Supreme Court in July 2017 over corruption charges.
