SALEM, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts man who has over a dozen drunken driving offenses has been sentenced to up to seven years in prison for another DUI case.
The Salem News reports 56-year-old Peter Anketell was sentenced Monday in Salem Superior Court to five years in state prison and 2 1/2 years in county jail after pleading guilty to drunken driving and driving after a license suspension while under the influence.
Anketell was arrested in July 2017 after he took his girlfriend’s car and nearly hit two pedestrians. Salem Police Sgt. Harry Rocheville says Anketell had his license permanently revoked because of his numerous convictions.
