STRATHAM, N.H. (AP) - Make-a-Wish New Hampshire and the New Hampshire SPCA are teaming up to help a 13-year-old girl battling cancer fulfill her dream of rescuing puppies.

Brooklyn is helping dogs get adopted Saturday at the Stratham shelter. She assisted the NHSPCA in transporting a group of rescued puppies from other shelters to New Hampshire.

Brooklyn was diagnosed with lymphoma last year and was recently approved to receive her wish from the foundation.

She says she loves animals and would be content knowing she helped animals live and find new homes.
