NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (AP) - A Massachusetts woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for her role in a pair of bank robberies.

The Daily Hampshire Gazette reports that 24-year-old Frances Deleon, of Agawam, was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty in Hampshire Superior Court to five counts of armed robbery.

Prosecutors say Deleon scouted out the Chicopee Savings Bank in South Hadley in March 2016 and the Monson Savings Bank in Ware the next month before a masked man with what appeared to be a gun robbed them of a combined $10,000.

That man, Edgardo Rivera, and another woman have already been convicted of charges in connection with the robberies.

Deleon’s attorney told the judge that his client understood she faced prison time.
