MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Prosecutors want to move back the trial of a man accused of killing two people in western Montana to give experts more time to test burned bones suspected to belong to the victims.

Caressa Jill Hardy, who was previously known as Glenn Dibley, has pleaded not guilty to killing Thomas Korjack and Robert Orozco in 2013 in Frenchtown.

The Missoulian reports that Deputy Missoula County Attorney Brian Lowney asked a judge to move back Hardy’s trial from February to May to see if a Texas lab can link the bones to the victims.

Court filings suggest that they were found in a fire pit and dumpsite in 2017 and 2018.

No other possible remains have been found.

Hardy has suggested Korjack and Orozco left the area in 2013 and are hiding from authorities.
