LEBANON, Pa. (AP) - A state trooper who was trying to serve an arrest warrant has shot and killed a man in Pennsylvania.

Authorities say troopers from the Jonestown barracks went to serve the warrant to 27-year-old Mitchell Hammer in Palmyra Tuesday morning, but he ran off into the woods.

A foot chase ensued, and police say it ended after a confrontation between Hammer and a trooper who opened fire and struck the man.
