The Washington Redskins received a pair of early-preseason scares when two of their 2018 draft picks left their preseason opener on the same drive.
Running back Derrius Guice and wide receiver Trey Quinn left the Redskins‘ game at the New England Patriots late in the first quarter.
Guice was evaluated for a knee injury, while team doctors checked Quinn’s stomach, the team announced. Ian Rapoport reported that Guice will get an MRI on Friday.
Guice was the Redskins‘ second-round pick out of LSU, and Quinn, out of SMU, was “Mr. Irrelevant” as the final pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Guice took six carries for 19 yards before leaving the game.
