Arike Ogunbowale had the weekend of a lifetime. Notre Dame’s junior guard nailed a long game-winning jumper in the final seconds of overtime for the Fighting Irish to upset Connecticut in the Women’s Final Four, then followed that up with a game-winning 3-pointer in Sunday’s title game to beat Mississippi State, 61-58.
Ogunbowale definitely has a supportive older brother in Dare Ogunbowale, a running back on the Washington Redskins’ practice squad, who tweeted about his sister all weekend.
I could watch this all day…matter of fact imma watch this all day. pic.twitter.com/wWBcYFLRBi

When Kobe Bryant congratulated the younger Ogunbowale on her shot in the Final Four, Dare took the chance to invite the Black Mamba to meet the family:
I mean so you coming to the family BBQ now or what? https://t.co/FnLqVphpLD

By Sunday, he also made Arike fans out of several friends from the University of Wisconsin, where he played collegiately. The running back was in attendance in Columbus, Ohio, for the tournament’s thrilling finish.
