SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - A former investigator for a central New York district attorney’s office faces prison time after pleading guilty in a fatal hit-and-run case.

In a plea deal with a special prosecutor, 38-year-old Peter Rauch will be sentenced to no more than two to six years in prison.

Rausch pleaded guilty Friday to vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal crash. He admitted in court that he was intoxicated when he struck and killed 18-year-old Seth Collier early on the morning of March 21.
