LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - Police in Las Cruces have arrested a man suspected of using a large rock to beat up a motorist.
They say 18-year-old Bryant Keith Williams is jailed on suspicion of one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Police say Williams has been booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center where he’s initially being held without bond.

Officers were dispatched to the report of a fight around 6 p.m. Wednesday and found a 21-year-old man bleeding from his head.
The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told police that Williams was walking on a street when he was confronted by the man who was driving by.
The two men exchanged words and Williams allegedly used a rock and his fists to beat the man.
