PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Philadelphia police say a man critically wounded while standing on his porch was likely a bystander and not the target of two shooters who fired 16 shots about 100 yards away.
Police haven’t released the name of the 45-year-old victim who was taken to Temple University Hospital after the incident just before 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say the victim and another relative both ducked when they heard the gunfire, but the victim was struck in the forehead.
Police Chief Inspector Scott Small says officers found 16 spent shells from two different weapons in nearby Hope Park. It’s not clear whether police have any suspects.
