PINETOWN, N.C. (AP) - The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in which a 6-year-old girl was killed.
Multiple news sources report deputies responded to a home in Pineville on Tuesday, and when they arrived, the found the girl fatally wounded. Deputies told WITN in Greenville that an 11-year-old boy shot the gun.
Authorities won’t release the names of the boy or the girl until relatives are notified.
