NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities are identifying the victims of a double homicide, but still do not have anyone in custody for the crime.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday night said 15-year-old Jada Allen and 48-year-old Temoco Williams were discovered earlier in the day with gunshot wounds. Williams is Allen’s mother.
Deputies were called to a home shortly before dawn on Saturday after they received reports of shots being fired. Allen was pronounced dead at the scene, while Williams died after being taken to the hospital.
The sheriff’s office is still trying to gather evidence about the incident that occurred in this compact city located in the center of Broward County, about 15 miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale.
Authorities do not have a suspect in custody.
