CLINTON, Iowa (AP) - The process to fill a vacancy on the Clinton City Council has begun.
The Clinton Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2j4XyHD ) that applications to fill the at-large council position are now available in the City Clerk’s office, as well as on the city’s website. The application deadline has been set at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The City Council will pick from applicants to fill the seat of former councilman Tom Determann, who left the post on Dec. 31 to begin serving on the Clinton County Board of Supervisors.
The new council member will finish out the term that expires at the end of the year.
