SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Greene County authorities say a 20-year-old woman whose body was found on a rural road last week appears to have died from a drug overdose.

The woman, Devin Briley, was discovered last Wednesday west of Springfield. In a statement, Monday, county officials said all evidence and information found so far is consistent with a drug overdose but toxicology reports are pending.

A 55-year-old man, Russell Hercher, of Springfield, was charged on Friday with abandoning a corpse.
