ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A 53-year-old Kokhanok (kok-HO-nak) man died after his all-terrain vehicle crashed on Iliamna (il-ee-AHM-nah) Lake.

Alaska State Troopers say Gregory Wassillie died.

Troopers on Sunday morning took a call from a local flight service that a man was spotted lying on the lake ice.

Two Alaska Wildlife Troopers from King Salmon flew to the lake by state helicopter and found Wassillie.

Troopers say he left Kokhanok on Saturday night for a trip to Iliamna on his three-wheeler. He apparently struck a pressure ridge on the lake and tumbled off the ATV. He was not wearing a helmet.

An autopsy is planned.

Kokhanok is on the south shore of Iliamna Lake about 22 miles south of Iliamna.
