ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Prosecutors say a police officer sexually assaulted two teenage girls.
Rockaway Township officer Wilfredo Guzman was being held Sunday in the Morris County jail. It wasn’t known if he’s retained an attorney.
Prosecutors say the 40-year-old Rockaway resident provided both girls with alcohol and prescription medication and engaged in sex acts with them.
The alleged assaults occurred in 2014 and 2015. Authorities say one girl was between 16 and 17 at the time she was assaulted, while the other was 15.
Guzman has served on the Rockaway force since 2003. He faces two counts each of child endangerment and sexual assault.
