ST. LOUIS, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an Asher man was killed when the pickup truck he was driving crashed into a creek in Pottawatomie County.

An OHP report released Friday night 34-year-old Wiley Hargus was dead at the scene of the crash near St. Louis.

The report says Hargus was westbound on Highway 59 between 11:30 p.m. and midnight Thursday when he ran a stop sign, when off the road and struck a sign, a guardrail and a bridge abutment before the truck overturned onto its top in the creek.



A passenger in the truck was treated and released at a hospital.

The report says the weather was cloudy and the road was wet and that the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
