Man faces 13 charges including sexual abuse

SALEM, Ore. (AP) - A 38-year-old man is facing 13 charges including eight counts of sexual abuse.

The Statesman Journal reports (https://stjr.nl/2ibMEPI) he was arrested and is expected to appear at a plea hearing Jan. 5 for four of those charges.

He is suspected of rape, sodomy, sexual abuse, coercion and promoting prostitution.

The man has a previous conviction in 2005 for sexual abuse and using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.

It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
