NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Authorities say a former Gonzales District Fire Chief has pleaded guilty to federal charges of distributing and possessing child pornography.
The U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement that 36-year-old Kristopher Johnson entered the plea Tuesday after he admitted having images stored on his cell phone and iPad of children between ages 6 and 12 being sexually abused.
NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/2h15R4D ) that Johnson pleaded guilty to four counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. A date for his sentencing has not been set.
