TORRINGTON, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Department of Correction says an inmate at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution in Torrington has died after a lengthy illness.

The agency says 68-year-old Monty Triplett died Saturday at the Banner Health Community Hospital in Torrington.

Triplett was sentenced in October 1993 by Natrona County District Court Judge Daniel R. Spangler to 30 to 35 years for first degree sexual assault and a concurrent six to eight years for indecent liberties with a minor.



A routine autopsy into the death will be conducted.
