COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina coach Dawn Staley has added one of the country’s top point guards in Araion Bradshaw to start her latest recruiting class.

Bradshaw is a 5-foot-6 guard at Tabor Academy and is from Hyde Park, Massachusetts. She is rated No. 32 overall and 10th at her position by ESPNW’s women’s college basketball recruiting rankings.

Staley said in a statement Bradshaw is explosive, smart and sees the court well.

Bradshaw will join a team next season that loses two-time Southeastern Conference player of the year Tiffany Mitchell, but gains highly regarded ACC transfers in Kaela Davis of Georgia Tech and Allisha Gray of North Carolina.

The second-ranked Gamecocks opened with victories over No. 6 Ohio State and UNC Greensboro this past weekend. They take on rival Clemson on Wednesday night.
