ROOSEVELT, N.Y. (AP) - A Long Island cab driver has been arrested on child endangerment charges involving a 6-year-old girl.
Nassau County Police say they arrested Neri M. Garcia-Ramos of Roosevelt on Thursday.
He was charged with child endangerment stemming from an incident last December.
Police say the child’s aunt put the girl in a cab alone in Freeport and asked the driver to take her to nearby Roosevelt.
The driver allegedly stopped the cab, climbed into the backseat and exposed himself to the child.
Police say they arrested Garcia-Ramos following an investigation.
He pleaded not guilty and is being held on $25,000 bail. His attorney did not comment.
The judge also issued an order of protection instructing Garcia-Ramos to stay away from the child.
