PARIS (AP) - A French first division match between Toulouse and Bastia has been called off because of the local river’s rising water levels.

Toulouse’s stadium is situated on an island and the city’s prefect has banned any access due to the threat from the Garonne river, the French league said in a statement.

The match was due to be played Saturday. No new date has been set.
