ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Second-half goals by Michael Olaitan and Jose Holebas led defending champion Olympiakos to a 2-0 win over visiting Levadiakos in the Greek league on Saturday.
Despite an unimpressive performance, Olympiakos won its 18th game in 20 rounds and extended its lead over second-place PAOK to 11 points when the latter stumbled at Panionios, losing 2-0 despite having 17 shots on goal to the host’s 6. Third-place Atromitos, which plays at last-place Aris on Sunday, is a further nine points behind.
Also, Panetolikos overcame an early deficit and scored twice in the final seven minutes to beat Panthrakikos 3-1.
