MORROW, Ga. (AP) - Clayton State University is using a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to participate in a special event centered on civil rights.

School officials say the event titled “Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle” will launch at the university on Feb. 19 at the Harry S. Downs Center at 6:30 p.m. The event is slated to feature films and discussions led by university faculty and a student representative.

The school was awarded the grant through the National Endowment for the Humanities’ Bridging Cultures initiative.

Planned discussion topics include strategies on nonviolence, legal equality and more.
