GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina environmental officials are scheduled to meet to discuss sampling that’s been done on Langley Pond.
The state Department of Health and Environmental Control is holding a public meeting on Thursday in the amphitheater at Aiken Technical College in Graniteville.
DHEC says its officials have done environmental assessment to determine the extent of contamination that was caused by pollution along Horse Creek decades ago.
Officials say their data has shown that the water in Langley Pond remains safe for recreational use.
