LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - A 28-year-old Lake Charles woman has been accused of physically abusing a 10-month-old child.
KPLC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1cnFj51 ) Jennifer Lee Eastwood was arrested Monday on a charge of cruelty to a juvenile. State District Judge Richard Wilson set bond at $100,000. It was not immediately known whether Eastwood has an attorney.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Myers says Eastwood allegedly hit the little girl - a relative of hers - with her hand, causing numerous whelps to her leg.

Myers says the victim has been removed from the home by the state Department of Children and Family Services.
