ST. MARYS, Pa. (AP) - State police say a western Pennsylvania man has his family to thank - literally - for being in jail on drug charges.
The Bradford Era (https://bit.ly/MttiUG ) reports 27-year-old Michael Scott Bartlett, of Kersey, was charged after family and friends who were concerned he was taking drugs searched his home and found syringes, suspected bath salts, smoking pipes, a cooking spoon, pill grinders and other paraphernalia. The group then called police to report what they had found.
Troopers from the Ridgway barracks say Bartlett later acknowledged the items belonged to him.
He remained in the Elk County Jail and faces a March 11 preliminary hearing on one count of marijuana possession and 38 counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police filed the charges Friday.
