LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas House on Thursday failed to reauthorize funding for the private option program that uses federal Medicaid funds to purchase private insurance for low-income residents. The measure was favored by a 72-25 margin but needed 75 votes to pass. A “yes” vote is in favor of continuing the private option plan.
