Team USA Bobsledder Johnny Quinn’s ability to bust down doors has landed him a unique opportunity — SWAT training.

“I was taking a shower and the door got locked/jammed” was the Tweet that started it all. When the Denton, Texas, police department saw the enormous hole in the middle of Mr. Quinn’s bathroom door, they reached out to him.

“Wonder if @JohnnyQuinnUSA would like a job on our SWAT team as a door slammer when he gets back from the Olympics?” the department tweeted on February 9. Two days later they received an answer.

“We are happy to announce that @JohnnyQuinnUSA has accepted our invite 2 come 2 one of our SWAT team training dates after the Olympics,” the Denton Police Department confirmed via Twitter.

Before Mr. Quinn can begin his SWAT training, he and his bobsledding team still are vying for a gold medal. They begin their quest for an Olympic gold medal on Sunday.

The Denton police department tweeted that they will post updates as the SWAT training itinerary takes shape.
